Lane Kiffin is going to be a man with some options at the end of the season. He’s got charisma. He’s got the 'rizz' as the kiddos say. He’s offensively minded. QB whisperer type. He’s just 50. Young enough to be considered young. Old enough to be considered mature. Total package, grade-A resume for a head coach in the current landscape of both college and the National Football League. And it raises an interesting question.
1- Does he go anywhere? Because he does have it pretty good @ Ole Miss. They love him there, he's revived his career there and its still an SEC school, its not like he's not making bank.
The other options would be 2- A perceived better job in CFB. Penn State, Florida, LSU...and I say perceived because in today's era of CFB, Vandy and Indiana look like better jobs than Florida. Its a fluid situation. But still, perception is that he would be taking a step up if he accepted the aforementioned.
3- NFL. Hadn't really thought about this one until Colin brought it up. (His clip below). But he essentially says:
"Nobody knows SEC QB's better than Lane Kiffin, and those are the top QB's in this year's class. He has all the Mike McDaniel innovation but you get an Alpha, he's a guys guy, with an attitude."
