BK's State of Florida Football Hierarchy

State of Florida hierarchy – this is like a power ranking for the state – college and pro. Who is really WOW’ing me. Obviously, if I have Miami over the Miami Dolphins, that’s not to say I think the canes could beat the Phins. This is all relative.

8 options as I see it, so I’m going 8 to 1.

8- Miami Dolphins- sitting @ 0-3 with no end in sight. They might even lose to the Jets on MNF. They have very few redeeming qualities, so I’ve got them @ the bottom of the heap.

7- Florida Gators- At least they have a defense. That’s what gets them ahead of the Dolphins. The Gators rank in the bottom 30 in terms of yards per game created. Teams that are ranked around them – Louisiana Monroe, Marshall, Akron, Rice, Hawaii. Pitiful.

6- Jags- I’m not buying it. this team is fools gold @ 2-1. They beat the Panthers, lost to Jake Browning, and tried to hand that game away to the Texans – BTJ can’t catch and Travis Hunter looks lost.

5- UCF- They need a more impressive win on their resume than UNC, but this team looks legit, I think they’ll climb the ranking through the season. Lets see how they look in conference play.

4- USF- Since playing USF, Boise state has scored 49 and 51 points. That USF defense is legit – yes, they got dog walked by the canes…but they were due for a letdown.

3- FSU- I’m obviously slow to buy in, but they do have the #1 offense in CFB, and that win against Bama does hold some weight.

2- Bucs- 3 games, 3 wins, 3 game winning drives. Baker’s got IT, whatever IT is, he’s got it. Todd Bowles is incredibly underrated. If you at some of the advanced #’s on PFF – they rank about 15th in everything – yet they are #1 in what can’t be measured – HEART.

Number1!- Miami Hurricanes. I believe in this team’s ability to win a national championship. QB play, solid, tough upfront on both sides of the trenches. Stars on the outside, if they can just overcome Mario in a close game – they can beat anyone.
