Jaguars Sign Lineman

The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to add competition and depth to their roster ahead of the upcoming season, announcing the signing of defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna.

Bohanna brings valuable NFL experience to Jacksonville's defensive front after spending time with several organizations during his professional career. Originally selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Bohanna has also spent time with the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers.

Over five NFL seasons, Bohanna has appeared in 40 career games with 13 starts, recording 44 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit. While his statistics may not jump off the page, Bohanna has built a reputation as a physical interior defender capable of occupying blockers and helping control the line of scrimmage.

At 6-foot-4 and over 350 pounds, Bohanna possesses the size and strength teams look for in a run-stuffing defensive tackle. His presence could provide additional support to a Jaguars defensive front that continues to emphasize physicality and toughness in the trenches.

Before entering the NFL, Bohanna enjoyed a successful collegiate career at the University of Kentucky. During his four seasons with the Wildcats from 2017-2020, he appeared in 45 games with 31 starts and accumulated 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and 2.0 sacks.

His leadership and production earned him Second-Team All-SEC honors during his senior season in 2020, a year in which he also served as one of Kentucky's team captains. Those accomplishments highlighted not only his ability on the field but also the respect he earned from coaches and teammates.

The Memphis, Tennessee native now gets an opportunity to compete for a role on a Jacksonville defensive line looking to build upon its strengths entering the new season. Whether as a rotational run defender or a depth piece in the interior, Bohanna's experience and size provide the Jaguars with another option in the trenches.

As training camp approaches, Bohanna will have the chance to prove he belongs in Jacksonville's defensive plans. For the Jaguars, the signing represents another low-risk move aimed at strengthening the roster and creating competition across the defensive front.

Competition often brings out the best in a football team, and Quinton Bohanna will now look to make his mark in Jacksonville as he begins the next chapter of his NFL career.
