The Mean Machine in the Red and Black is 2-0 in 2024 after throttling Tennessee Tech 48-3 in Athens.

QB Carson Beck continued to showcase why he will be a Heisman Trophy candidate come year's end. Beck finished the afternoon completing 18/25 passes for 242 yards and five touchdowns to five different pass catchers.

The Bulldogs pass catchers showcased their depth and versatility:

  • Arian Smith - 4 Rec / 73 Yards / TD
  • Dillon Bell - 4 Rec / 46 Yards / TD
  • Lawson Luckie - 2 Rec / 43 Yards / TD
  • Dominic Lovett - 3 Rec / 33 Yards / TD
  • Colbie Young - 1 Rec / 6 yards / TD

Georgia's running backs had a solid afternoon and will continue to impress early in 2024:

  • Branson Robinson - 3 Carries / 22 Yards / 2 Rec / 21 Yards / TD
  • Trevor Etienne - 5 Carries / 78 Yards / 2 Rec / 14 Yards
  • Nate Frazier - 6 Carries / 28 Yards

Georgia's offense finished the game with 498 yards, 332 through the air and 166 on the ground at 6.7 yards per carry.

Defensively, the Bulldogs dominated, holding the Tennesee Tech offense to 134 total yards with just 18 yards passing. The unit totaled a whopping ten tackles for loss and three sacks.

The Mean Machine moves to 2-0 and will travel to Lexington, Kentucky, for a Saturday 7:30 EST matchup with the Wildcats.
