Florida State's disappointing start to the 2024 season extended into the bye week yesterday. The Seminoles had their first decommitment as four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles flipped from Florida State to Texas.
It continues today, as 2025 four-star defensive Javion Hilson announced on social media that he has de-committed from Florida State.
Hilson is 6"3, 235 pounds, and a Cocoa, Florida native. He is ranked as the No. 3 edge, No. 7 Florida prospect, and No. 44 national player, per 247Sports rankings.
The decommitment leaves FSU with one defensive line commit in the 2025 recruiting cycle, four-star DT Kevin Wynn. According to 247Sports rankings, the Seminoles' 2025 class rank moves from No. 22 to No. 34.
An 0-2 start to the season has not been kind to coach Mike Norvell, both on and off the field.
