The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to trade linebacker Trevis Gipson to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapaport.
Per Rapoport, the Jaguars received a "late-round" draft pick in return.
The former Chicago Bears fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft signed with the Jaguars as a free agent on March 18th.
After spending the first three years of his career with the Chicago Bears, Gipson spent the 2023 NFL season with the Tennessee Titans, totaling six tackles with some sacks in eight games with no starts.
With Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline approaching, Gipson wasn't a strong candidate to earn a spot on the Jaguar's final regular season roster.
He will serve as a depth option on the Seahawks' defense, a needed move after linebacker Uchenna Nwosua suffered a knee injury in the team's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
