According to Sean Stellato, Sean Perry's agent, the Jaguars have agreed to terms with free agent quarterback EJ Perry.
It marks Perry’s third stint in Duval; he originally signed with Jacksonville in August of 2022, spent that season with the Jags' practice squad, and returned to the team last December on the practice squad.
Perry spent the 2024 season with the UFL Michigan Panthers alongside recently signed Jaguars edge rusher and reigning UFL Defensive Player of the Year Breeland Speaks.
With C.J. Beathard being ruled out with a groin injury, the Jaguars needed another signal caller for the preseason finale in Atlanta. Trevor Lawrence is expected to play the entire first half against the Falcons on Friday night.
EJ Perry has yet to throw his first pass or appear in an NFL game but has recorded a 59.8% completion percentage with 785 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions between the UFL and USFL from 2023-2024.
