Week two of the Jaguars' training camp is over. Let’s catch up on some injury updates as the team prepares to enter week three.
OL Ezra Cleveland (leg) and OL Cam Robinson (shoulder) were on the field for Sunday’s practice, yet limited to individual drills. Cleveland suffered an injury during Saturday’s stadium practice in 1v1 drills following a bull rush from rookie DL Maason Smith. There has been no word on the official status yet.
OL Steven Jones (calf) did not practice Sunday as he is still recovering from an injury he sustained during the conditioning test.
Anton Harrison (concussion) did not practice Sunday. He will remain in concussion protocol for at least the next few days; Harrison suffered his concussion during the team periods in practice this week.
Per Coach Pederson: "He's been doing good up until last week. He's actually going to be in the protocol. Yeah, he's another one. So he'll be out for these next couple of days. But he's been doing really good. He's been probably one of the more consistent offensive linemen so far this year”, said Pederson.
S Andrew Wingard (knee) did not practice Sunday. Coach Pederson advised that Dewey would be out for “a while” and would miss “significant time.” Pederson refrained from releasing a timetable to return. Wingard will remain questionable to start week 1.
OL Cooper Hodges (back) did not practice Sunday. He is still day-to-day as the team remains cautious about his back injury.
Patrick Murtagh (ankle) did not practice Sunday. Murtagh suffered a broken right ankle during live goal-line drills during Friday’s practice. He signed with the Jaguars through the NFL's International Player Pathway Program, it remains to be seen the severity of his injury and likely hampers his chances to secure a roster spot with the team.
Ventrell Miller (hand) was limited Sunday and did not participate in Saturday’s stadium practice either. Miller missed his entire rookie season in 2023 after rupturing his Achilles tendon in training camp. Considering his extensive injury history dating back to his time at Florida, it will be pivotal for him to get healthy for the 2024 season to ensure his future with the team.
The Jaguars have yet to suffer a season-ending injury but currently have three starters across the offensive line fighting to get healthy.
