The Florida State Seminoles landed a commitment from four-star WR Malik Clark. He chose the ’Noles over North Carolina and South Carolina at his commitment ceremony on Thursday.
Heading into today, the Gamecocks led on the 247Sports crystal ball for Clark leading into his decision today, but the Garnet and Gold swooped in and landed its third blue-chip wide receiver for Tribe25.
Clark, the nation’s No. 213 overall prospect and No. 24 wide receiver, had taken visits to FSU, UNC, and South Carolina in June. The ’Noles were not in the mix of his recruiting until offering him a scholarship in May, only taking two months for the Tribe to close the deal and secure him.
With this commitment, Florida State has the nation’s No.7 class this cycle. This marks the third wide receiver ranked in the top 25 nationally set to join the program, including CJ Wiley and Daylan McCutcheon.
In 2023, he snagged 46 receptions for 800 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior at Rock Hill, securing him an All-Herald Second-Team selection. Clark is also an elite track athlete - As a junior, he placed 3rd at the South Carolina 5A state meet in the 100-meter dash with a 10.62 time and won the 5A Upper State title with a 10.55 in the 100.
Measuring in at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a 4.39 40-yard dash, he brings a dynamic deep-threat presence to the perimeter of the Seminole's offense. He’s not a finished product by any means, but he has the foundational ability to be a true difference-maker in Tallahassee.
