The Golden State Warriors have kept their NBA Playoff hopes alive by beating the Los Angeles Clippers last night and Stugotz wants to make sure Al Horford gets the credit he deserves for his influence on the Warriors success despite his diminishing numbers on the court.
Taylor Vippolis: “Al Horford, he is aging like a fine wine.”
John “Stugotz” Weiner: “. Oh, he really is. He's got 10 years left at least…Al Horford is not about numbers. He's about little things, okay? It's about what he says in a timeout. It's about a pregame speech, a little halftime motivation. It's how he takes the rookies under his wing and he teaches them the ropes of the NBA. That's what Al Horford is all about. Anything he gives you in the way of numbers is just a bonus.”
