The Tampa Bay Lightning (37-14-4) defeated the Florida Panthers (29-25-3) 6-1 on Thursday night at Benchmark International Arena. With the win, the Lightning have now won five in a row and are 19-1-1 in their past 21 games headed into the NHL's Olympic Break.
Andrei Vasilevskiy went 33-of-34 in net for Tampa Bay to get the win. The Lightning got goals from Brandon Hagel, Zemgus Girgensons, Jake Guentzel, Erik Cernak, Pontusb Holmberg and Oliver Bjokstrand to ease past the Panthers.
The Lightning return from the NHL's Olympic Break when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 25th. Puck drop between the Lightning and Maple Leafs is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Benchmark International Arena on Wednesday February 25th.
