South Florida's Coco Gauff has won her second grand slam trophy

The Delray Beach native won the women's singles title at the French Open with a three-set victory over top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday.

The 21-year-old is the first American to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015.

The final was a competitive match 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 with Gauff coming out on top.

Gauff now leads the all-time series with Sabalenka 6-5 who looked sluggish and sloppy at times, allowing Gauff to push for the comeback win.

Sabalenka seemed to indicate that, "more than anything her own mistakes allowed Gauff to win."

Gauff won the U.S. Open back in 2023.
