The Monday after the final regular season game has always brought gloom for teams that do not make the playoffs. Most team take the old say “helmets to the left, shoulder pads to the right” very literally as players clean out their respective lockers and head into the offseason. Other clubs prepare for the draft and the free agency frenzy that it about ensue. Then there are teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars who will most likely be doing an overhaul of the ball club.
This Jaguars have now relieved Doug Pederson of his head coaching duties and will officially begin their search for the next leader of the team. So who and what’s next. At this time of this writing, Trent Balke is still the General Manager of the club. However, has he done enough to stay in the position of will Shad Khan look for a new lead scout as well? Only time can answer if the these or any moves made in the coming days and weeks will prove to be enough to right the ship of this franchise.
