Capitals Rally To Win Over Lightning

The Washington Capitals (15-6-1) rallied to a 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning (11-8-2) on Wednesday night at Amalie Arena. For Lightning head coach Jon Cooper, it was his 900th career game as a NHL head coach.

The Lightning led 4-3 after Capitals goalie Charlie Lindgren accidentally shot the puck into his own net at the 7:25 mark of the third period. The Capitals got goals from John Carlson and Tom Wilson down the stretch of the third period to take the 5-4 win.

Brayden Point had a hat trick in the losing effort. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 27-of-32 in net for Tampa Bay.

The Lightning are next in action when they travel to Nashville to take on the Predators on Friday afternoon. Puck drop on Black Friday is scheduled for 3:00 PM between the Lightning and Predators.
