After missing the Jaguar's week 10 home matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, QB Trevor Lawrence is going to miss his second consecutive game this weekend vs the Detroit Lions. The prodigal son of Duval is dealing with a shoulder injury in his non-throwing arm.
Head coach Doug Pederson is optimistic that Lawrence can return to the gridiron following the team's upcoming bye week:
"He's getting close ... you guys know how I am, we don't want to put a player out there who is not 100%", said Pederson.
With the season all but over as a 2-8 record resides over Duval, it should be surprising if Trevor Lawrence is sent to the injured reserve list for the remainder of the 2024 season in order to fully recover leading into the offseason.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) are set to take on the Detroit Lions (8-1) on Sunday at 1 PM ET at Ford Field on CBS.
