Florida State Injury Updates Following Duke Loss

Fox Sports Radio Jacksonville

While losing their sixth game of the 2024 season against the Duke Blue Devils on Friday night, the Seminoles suffered another pair of detrimental injuries to key contributors to an offense that is already utterly inept.

True freshman running back Kam Davis suffered an apparent lower-body injury in the fourth quarter. During the play, he fumbled the football deep in Duke territory.

The Garnet & Gold were already thin at tailback entering Friday night's game with Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas out for the season.

Davis wasn't the only offensive starter to go down vs. Duke. Starting left tackle Darius Washington left the game with an apparent injury in the second half, and Robert Scott Jr. finished off the game on the blindside.

An offensive line that received a lot of preseason hype has battled injuries and poor play all season; the Seminoles have already started six combinations up front.

Florida State will play the 5th-ranked Miami Hurricanes in a primetime ACC rivalry matchup on ESPN on Saturday at 7 PM ET.
