Florida Injury Updates Ahead of Kentucky

The Florida Gators (3-3, 1-2 SEC) are preparing for a primetime conference matchup in The Swamp vs the Kentucky Wildcats (3-3, 1-3 SEC) on Saturday at 7:45 PM ET.

According to the new Wednesday conference availability report, the Gators have a pair of starters questionable to play and several depth pieces out for Saturday's game.

  • OL Austin Barber - Questionable
  • DB Bryce Thorton - Questionable
  • DB Asa Turner - Questionable
  • LS Rocco Underwood - Questionable

Montrell Johnson Jr. was the victim of a hip-drop tackle at the end of a run during the Tennessee game and did not return for the remainder of the contest.

Coach Billy Napier provided a favorable prognosis of Johnson's status on Monday, “We don’t anticipate it being a long-term issue,” Napier said when asked about Johnson’s injury.

Starting left tackle Austin Barber was questionable going into last week's game vs Tennessee and is once again this week.
