Georgia Injury Updates Ahead of Alabama

Fox Sports Radio Jacksonville

Kirby Smart provided injury updates Tuesday regarding several key Bulldogs, highlighted by star edge rusher Mykel Williams, heading into the Saturday matchup with Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Williams suffered an ankle injury during the season opener against Clemson and has been out the past two games against Tennessee Tech and Kentucky.

"Mykel's been able to do a little bit. I still don't know his timeline. He was able to get out there and run around and he was able to get some reps today."

Runningback Roderick Robinson will be out with a toe injury that he had surgery on.

Guard Tate Ratledge underwent Tightrope surgery to repair a high ankle sprain and a knee sprain; his timetable to return is currently uncertain.

Defensive lineman Warren Brinson practiced at the tail end of last week; he is still recovering from an ankle disease. Smart stated that Brinson is expected to return for the Alabama game.

Defensive lineman Jordan Hall is still working back: "We are hoping to get Jordan Hall back he's been working tirelessly in his rehab", said Smart.

The health of this defensive line is a massive factor in the Bulldogs' success in stopping the Alabama run game. With Jalen Milroe, Justice Haynes, Jam Miller, and a healthy offensive line, the Crimson Tide will test the depth and health of the Georgia front seven.

Kickoff between Georgia and Alabama in Tuscaloosa is set for Saturday at 7 PM ET. More updates to come throughout the week.
