The Jacksonville Jaguars made several roster moves in the defensive backfield on Thursday.
Tyson Campbell has been placed on the injured reserve list. Coach Doug Pederson spoke with the media earlier this week and said Campbell was "potentially" an IR decision; now we see it is finalized.
Campbell will now be out for a minimum of four weeks, set to make his return to the gridiron in early October.
After signing free agent CB Zechariah McPhearson to the practice squad earlier this week, the Jaguars have signed S Andre Chachere to the practice squad.
Chachere was a UDFA of the Houston Texans in 2018 out of San Jose State. He spent his first three seasons on the practice squad with Houston, Detroit, Arizona, Carolina, and Indianapolis before Philadelphia claimed him off waivers in 2021.
In 2023, Chachere signed with the Arizona Cardinals and saw action in 17 games, totaling 23 tackles and three passes defended.
Tre Flowers has been signed to the active roster. Flowers was in Duval throughout the preseason and now gets his shot.
