(Tallahassee, FL) -- Florida's unemployment rate is holding steady. The U.S. Department of Labor reports Florida added more than 28,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate was 2.8%. That's the same rate as September and up one-tenth of a percent from a year ago. There were 318,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of about 11.2 million.
Miami-Dade County leads the state with the lowest unemployment rate of 1.6%. Hendry County has the highest at 5.1%. The national employment rate is 3.9%.
