Earlier this week news broke that Florida QB Jalon Jones would be entering the transfer portal. Now via the Tampa Bay Times, it would appear that Jones transfer is due to an incident from April 6th where he is now being accused of sexual assault by a fellow Florida student.
The student told authorities about the incident and declined to press charges. According to a report from The Gainesville Sun, Jones and the female student went into his room to have consensual sex. Two other's entered the room and then quickly left when they saw what was happening, the alleged victim then told Jones to stop and he did not.
University of Florida Spokesman Steve McClain released a statement on the incident "We are aware of the incident and have followed athletic department and campus protocols"
