Former Jaguars offensive coordinator Kevil Gilbride is expected to be named the head coach of the New York XFL team per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
Gilbride was part of the inaugural Jaguars team, coaching the team's offense for the first two season of the Jaguars' existence. In 1996, the Jaguars reached the AFC Championship game before falling to the Patriots.
The XFL is expected to launch in 2020.
