Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Gators DC Todd Grantham said that staying at the University of Florida as the Gators defensive coordinators was an easy decision. Per Jacquie Franciulli of Gators Territory:
"I love our players. I really enjoy developing them, being around them. There’s a lot of things that you kind of look forward to. I certainly look forward to the challenge of the SEC schedule. Looking to continue to develop and get us back to where Gator Nation should be. I want to be a part of that.
"I like it here. My family likes it here. You’ve always got to factor in everything. When you do that, it was a pretty easy decision.”
The Cincinnati Bengals were highly interested in hiring Grantham to their staff, interviewing him for the position in early February, before Grantham ultimately decided to pass on the offer and stay with the Gators.
