Florida suffered a de-commitment in the 2020 recruiting class on Wednesday when Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy edge rusher Josh Griffis backed off his pledge to the Gators.
"First and foremost I would like to give a huge thank you to The University of Florida for giving me the opportunity to play for them and the love they have shown me. The University of Florida has always been my dream school, but after praying and talking with my family and coaches, I have decided to re-open my recruitment. Florida is still one of my top picks, but I feel that opening up my recruitment for my senior year is the right decision. Please respect my decision."
Florida now has seven commitments in the 2020 recruiting class.
