The 2019 NFL Off-season is underway, and the Ravens have agreed in principle to trade Joe Flacco to the Broncos for a mid-round draft pick when the new league year begins next month. This of course will have a ripple effect on the fate of Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles as the Eagles have to decide what to do with the QB who does have an option for one more year in his current contract. Jason La Canfora is among many who believe he will be a Jaguar in 2019, claiming the Jags will move on from Bortles this off-season and "Nick Foles Remains the most obvious candidate to become the starter in Jacksonville"
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo says:
My understanding is that Denver had done a little bit of work onNick Foles, but not a lot of work on Nick Foles. And now we know it’s because it was a fallback plan should the Joe Flacco situation not work out for them. So, I really didn’t see them as an aggressive [suitor]. So, now everybody’s making the connection to Jacksonville for Foles, and it’s an obvious one. And I do believe they are interested there, and there’s going to be mutual interest.
Jay Glazer of The Athletic also says he "wouldn't be suprised" if the Jaguars went after Foles.
