ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has released his first mock draft, and has the Jaguars selecting Oklahoma OL Cody Ford with their first overall pick. Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins was taken by the Giants at the sixth spot in Kiper's mock draft, and he had Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray and Duke QB Daniel Jones being selected later in the draft.
This seems to indicate that Kiper thinks the Jaguars would already have their QB by the time of the draft. The Jaguars have reportedly had discussions about acquiring Joe Flacco and the hiring of John DeFilippo as offensive coordinator fuels speculation that the Jags will make a run at Eagles QB Nick Foles, as DeFilippo was Foles' QB coach in Philadelphia during their Super Bowl run in 2017.
