Fields’ case is being represented by lawyer Tom Mars, who helped Shea Patterson get immediately eligible at Michigan following his transfer from Ole Miss.
Kyle Rowland of The Blade tweeted out a statement he received from Mars Tuesday evening.
If eligible, Fields is expected to compete for Ohio State’s starting job, along with Tate Martell.
