Canes Insight’s Stefan Adams reported on Thursday that Applewhite will be named the new offensive coordinator for the Hurricanes.
The move is not official, but Adams says it will happen.
But according to Mike Cugno of CBS 4 Diaz said he is taking his time and didn't confirm or deny the report.
Toledo Offensive Coordinator Brian Wright is also reportedly being considered. Before joining the Rockets, Wright was on FAU’s staff from 2012-15.
