The Gators coaching staff made Steele a priority early, and keep their efforts up during his time committed to USC, which paid off with him picking Dan Mullen and Florida.
"Obviously, they had a pretty rough year last year but they bounced back this year with Coach (Dan) Mullen and the DBs they have," Steele said of the Gators. "They produce DB’s, it’s DBU, they produce DB’s. The new coaching staff obviously came in and had a big impact on the program."
"They have an opportunity to come in and learn from Coach Mullen, and Coach [Todd] Grantham and get in there spring ball on day 1," Steele said of the playing time available in Gainesville. "They said I can be out there running with the first group if I work hard, but that is up to me to keep that job and earn it. I control my destiny there."
