Eastern Carolina University fired head coach Scottie Montgomery Thursday morning, and per AP's Ralph D. Russo, former Volunteer head coach Butch Jones is a candidate for the job.
Jones was 34-27 as a head coach for Tennessee, with a record of 14-24 in SEC play. Jones is currently an analyst for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
