Report: Former Jaguars Head Coach Del Rio Candidate For USC Job

Former Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio made the news a few weeks ago when reports surfaced that he was interested in coaching for the USC Trojans, should the Trojans move away from Clay Helton at the end of the year. It would seem that it's more than just interest on the part of Del Rio.

CBS Sports NFL analyst Jason La Canfora reported on The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon that Del Rio is one of two names he's hearing for the head coaching job at USC, with Helton likely on his way out. Former Titans and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is the other.

Del Rio played college football at USC, earning the co-MVP of the Rose Bowl in 1985. He coached the Jaguars from 2003 - 2011, compiling a 68-71 record as the head coach in Jacksonville.
