Former Gators RB Adarius Lemons was arrested Thursday morning on one felony count of domestic battery by strangulation and two misdemeanors of battery and criminal mischief property damage.
This stems from an altercation with his girlfriend last Friday evening, in which an argument with Lemons' girlfriend escalated into him shattering her phone, and then slamming into a wall and a bed. Following that, the altercation spilled into a hallway, where Lemons allegedly choked her against a wall. Her injuries included a cut upper lip, a bloodied toe, a scratched forearm, a cut pinky and redness on her left elbow, per the Gainesville Police Department. A warrant was issued on Monday for his arrest following the incident.
Lemons declared he was leaving Florida's program shortly after to the Gators loss to Kentucky on September 8th.
