Clemson QB Kelly Bryant has confirmed to the Greenville News that he will be transferring from the program. This comes after being told by head coach Dabo Swinney on Sunday that they were making a change at the QB position, electing to go with the true freshman Trevor Lawrence.
“I feel like it's what's best for me and my future. I was just going to control what I could control and try to make the most of my opportunity, but at the end of the day, I just don't feel like I’ve gotten a fair shot.” Kelly Bryant per Greenville News
Due to new redshirt rules, Bryant can declare himself a redshirt and transfer without sacrificing his final year of eligibility, as players are allowed to appear four games without having their eligibility effected.
Clemson plays Florida State on October 27th.
