The Number 4 overall pick from the 2017 NFL draft missed the Jaguars week 2 win over the patriots with a hamstring injury he sustained vs the Giants in week 1. Coach Doug Marrone was hopeful that Leonard would be able to play in the week 2 game, and he remains optimistic that he will be ready to participate as early as Wednesday when the team has their next practice.
“I was really optimistic last week and obviously I was wrong. That’s the one thing that kicks me in the butt all the time now,” Marrone told reporters about Fournette. “Sometimes when I feel like he’s going to be alright and I want to say it and I don’t. Hey, this guy might not [play] and he does. Again, we took another test today and it was good. [Tuesday] will be another test. We’ll take it day-by-day.”
Sunday at 1:00 PM the Jaguars will host the Tennessee Titans.
