Malik Rosier’s QB Job On The Line?

Miami was blown out by LSU Sundaynight  33-17 in the season opener for both teams.

During the game Hurricane's QB Malik Rosier completed just 15-of-35 passes for 259 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. It was the third game in row, dating back to last season, in which Rosier struggled.

On Tuesday, Rosier wasn’t the only quarterback to receive reps with the first team offense. Redshirt freshmen N’Kosi Perry and Cade Weldon also worked with the first string.

According to offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, Miami wants to have competition at all positions, not just quarterback.

“I think we definitely need more competition when it comes to that,” Brown said, via 247 Sports. “Not just with him, everywhere. I have said that from Day 1 whether we have been winning or not winning. No one’s job is ever safe. It’s a competitive environment and we need to do a good job of putting guys in a spot where they can compete and push guys.”
