Former Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden and former Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer will be honored on the field prior to the start of the FSU/VT Labor Day night showdown. Bowden and Beamer will serve as honorary captains for their respective programs.
Bowden won two national championships with the 'Noles, and also tallied 33 consecutive winning seasons, 12 of which ended with ACC titles. His record was 377-128-4 during his tenure at FSU. Beamer amassed a career record of 238-121-2, and helped the Hokies reach the 1999 National Championship game, where they lost to Florida State and Bowden.
The game is set for September 3rd at 8:00PM.
