UNC head coach Larry Fedora made news Wednesday with comments at ACC Media Days in which he stated that football was "under attack" and expressing doubt with the correlation between football and CTE. He went on to say that the game is changing so much that "we won't recognize it in 10 years."
FAU head coach Lane Kiffin spoke to reporters Thursday at Conference USA Media Days, and was asked whether he supported the changes to football in an effort to keep the game safer:
"I am, definitely. Because you see these long-term issues with these older NFL players. What's the most important thing? Long-term health, or how the game looks?" - FAU head coach Lane Kiffin, per ESPN's Jake Trotter
Kiffin has been criticized in the past for not exactly being self-aware, these comments display the exact opposite.
