No surprise at the top of the odds - as the reigning champions, and winners of 3 out of the last 4 NBA titles, Golden State Warriors are on top as +125 favorites. They are followed by the Houston Rockets, who took them to a game 7 after losing Chris Paul during game 5 at +400. RJ Bell of Fox Sports Radio tweeted a full list of the odds late Friday Night.
Philly at +450, just below Houston and above Boston at +700; and LAL at 16/1 over San Antonio, OKC, and NO both stick out. It appears as though the odds makers are anticipating those two franchises as highly likely landing spots for LeBron James and are adjusting accordingly. The same could be said for Cleveland falling down below Boston, although Kyrie Irving and Gordon Heyward returning also play factors.
Will Golden State 3-peat? Will Lebron help take one of these teams that are close get over the top? Or will a new champion emerge from the pack? I for one would have to go chalk on this one. I don't see anyone dethroning the Golden Dynasty as long as they stay together anytime soon.
