The former Crimson Tide QB transferred to Arizona State, having lost the starting job to Jalen Hurts after starting the 2016 opener. Barnett threw 5 passes for ASU while backing up Manny Wilkins. He now hopes to have found a home at USF, as reported by JP Peterson of WDAE in Tampa.
Barnett will be available to play this fall and will have 2 years of eligibility remaining. He will look to compete for the starting QB job as 2017 starter Quinton Flowers completed his Senior season.
