Adam Schefter recently spoke with ESPN’s NFL draft experts Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay about the upcoming draft via podcast. Schefter asked Kiper and McShay to predict who will be the first QB taken in 2019.
Both named a few candidates, but agreed that one stands out above the rest.
Missouri’s Drew Lock.
Kiper: “Drew Lock from Missouri would be in the top five to ten, because quarterbacks always get pushed up. I had a high-ranking NFL front office executive, when I was talking to him this yer during the season says ‘Hey, you know who has the best arm in college football? It’s not Josh Allen, no, it’s Drew Lock.'”
McShay: As it stands right now, I think Lock is probably…I think he has a big arm and I think he has potential.
