Clemson Head Coach Swinney Wants To Play Georgia Every Year

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is fond of challenging his team, as they routinely play SEC teams outside of South Carolina on a frequent basis. Since 2010, they have not played an additional SEC team only one time, and  that was in 2015. They will continue that stretch this year and next, as they play Texas A&M twice. Swinney was asked about putting Georgia back on their schedule, per The State:

“Absolutely. I think it’d be great for both fan bases. I’ve said that for a long time. We’re going to play somebody like that every year. We go to Texas A&M this year, then they come to us. We played Auburn a bunch of times. So I think that would be great.

Georgia and Clemson played annually from 1962-1987, only missing out on two years during that stretch.
