The 2025 season for the Florida State Seminoles continues to disappoint. Record and loss to Miami aside, the program's future is in serious turmoil with the track that recruiting has taken.
2025 four-star WR CJ Wiley has de-committed from Florida State, per Hayes Fawcett of On3. Wiley joins Malik Clark and Daylan McCutcheon in the wave of de-commitments from receivers, leaving FSU with zero wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
This should be no surprise, considering that wide receivers coach Ron Dugans has failed. It will be hard to recruit talent on the offensive perimeter when the current guys in that room look like they haven't been taught to catch the ball with their hands or put any effort into route running. FSU fans should expect several changes along the staff come offseason time; Dugans will be at the top of that list.
Four-star DE Javion Hilson and DT Myron Charles de-committed from the Garnet & Gold this year.
FSU now has 11 recruits remaining in its 2025 class, which ranks 32nd nationally.
There are many questions surrounding this program's future, which currently lacks any semblance of hope. This offseason in Tallahassee could be a truly eye-opening experience.
